"Lost Penguin" is an educational arcade-style game made for museums and aquariums. Its purpose is to teach its audience (late elementary school to early high school students) about African Penguins. Players of the game step into the shoes of Waddles the African Penguin, and through an interactive and tactile experience, try to get back home to their colony while facing various natural and manmade obstacles that reflect their real environment. By the end, players are offered a call to action, to show their support in helping real communities of African Penguins.
Below is a video demonstrating the concept in physical space, the final Figma file for the project, as well as a paper that dives in-depth into the design process of "Lost Penguin."
